BEADING WITH SIGNIFICANCE. Redesigned by a Native American artist from Minneapolis, Lucie Skjefte, a citizen of the Red Lake Nation. Her colorful beading design for this shoe collection honors her Anishinaabe heritage and her son, Animikii, which means 'Thunderbird' in Ojibwemowin. For each pair bought, a lifetime product royalty goes directly to Lucie for her original design. In honor of this collection, Minnetonka is also donating to the Mni Sota Fund - an urban Native CDFI chosen by Lucie that aids Native Americans in Minnesota with training and capital for home - ownership and entrepreneurship. The shoes feature a suede or smooth leather upper, a hand - beaded Thunderbird design, a suede or leather lace, a padded insole, a heel cup, a rubber sole, a Minnetonka icon charm, and a Minnetonka signature stitch on the heel. They are imported.

These Minnetonka Women's Pink Thunderbird Animikii shoes are great for daily wear. Just slip them on like you would with any regular shoes. When you're out and about, they'll add a touch of style to your outfit. As for care, avoid getting them too wet, as water can damage the suede or leather. If they get dirty, use a soft brush to gently clean the surface. For the beading, be careful not to snag it on sharp objects. When not in use, store them in a cool, dry place. That way, your shoes will stay in good shape for a long time.
