Say hello to the revamped Thunderbird moccasins! These shoes have been gorgeously and meaningfully redesigned by Lucie Skjefte, a Minneapolis-based Native American designer, mentor, and educator. As a citizen of the Red Lake Nation, Lucie pays tribute to her Anishinaabe heritage and her son Animikii - whose name means 'Thunderbird' in Ojibwemowin - through her vibrant beading designs. Each pair of these women's brown moccasins features hand-beaded Thunderbird patterns, adding a touch of cultural significance and style. For every purchase, a lifetime royalty will be paid directly to Lucie for her original design. In honor of this collection, Minnetonka is also donating to the Mni Sota Fund, an urban Native CDFI selected by Lucie that helps Native Americans in Minnesota access training and capital for home ownership and entrepreneurship. The moccasins are made with a suede or smooth leather upper, a suede or leather lace, a padded insole, a heel cup, a rubber sole, a Minnetonka icon charm, and a Minnetonka signature stitch on the heel. They are imported and offer a wide fit for added comfort.

Using these Minnetonka moccasins is as easy as slipping them on your feet. They're perfect for everyday wear, whether you're running errands or relaxing at home. When it comes to maintenance, use a soft brush to gently clean off any dirt or debris. If they get wet, let them air dry naturally away from direct heat. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the leather and the beading. Store them in a cool, dry place when not in use. These moccasins are made to last, so with proper care, you'll enjoy them for a long time.
